چکیده

Introduction Lateral pain around the greater trochanter (LTP) is a common complication after total hip arthroplasty (THA) that can significantly reduce quality of life. The aim this study was to analyze relationship between lateral trochanteric bursa repair, subcutaneous fat thickness, and during THA procedure. Materials methods A 98 patients who underwent for arthrosis 2021 2022 were evaluated retrospectively. For all patients, thickness measured fascia skin at incision site. Bursa repair performed in 47 while excision done 51 patients. data obtained included demographic information, functional scores, comorbidities, values, radiographic evaluations, other specific markers. These compared diagnosed with LTP following controls. Results No difference observed groups terms or evaluations. As expected, there statistically significant differences visual analog scale (VAS) score (p=0.030) Harris (HHS) (p=0.045). When comparing without LTP, VAS higher group HHS found be lower. Conclusion Trochanteric not associated thickness. cannot predicted based on comorbidities such as smoking, BMI, measurements.

The rate of union had a statistically significant relationship with the position of reattachment of the trochanter, which depended greatly on the pre-operative diagnosis. The pre-op...
